Last Tuesday September 20th, a select group of industry specialist from the Dutch HORECA sector came together at the event called "Peruvian Chilies: Inside the Soul of a Gastronomic Global Trend ", organized by the Embassy of Peru, with the support of Verstegen Spices & Sauces.
During the event, renowned Peruvian chef James Berckemeyer showed the versatility of the “leche de tigre” in Peruvian cuisine and put on display some of Peru’s main national dishes. Furthermore, attendees also had the opportunity to taste different dishes prepared by Peruvian restaurants located in the Netherlands and Antwerp. In addition, the Pisco was also showcased at the event where different cocktails using the spirit were explained in a personalized manner to those who were interested.
