Prominent Writer Jorge Eduardo Benavides speaks in the Netherlands about Gastronomy in the Spanish L
Last 15th of September the Event “Gastronomía con eñe: una ruta gastronómica por la literatura en español” (Gastronomy with an “eñe”: a gastronomic route through Literature in Spanish), took place in the city of Utrecht, organized by the Embassy of Peru in the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Cervantes Institute of Utrecht. In this occasion the prominent Peruvian writer Jorge Eduardo Benavides, who resides in Spain, spoke about the evolution and the increasing influence of gastronomy in the Literature in the Spanish Language.
The event was attended by a large interested audience, which included professors, members of the diplomatic corps, Peruvians living in the Netherlands as well as Dutch Nationals.
This activity was organized in the framework of the celebration in the Netherlands of the month of the Peruvian gastronomy, which coincides with the participation of the Chef Virgilio Martinez, from the Peruvian Restaurant Central, in the festival Chefsrevolution in Zwolle the 19th of September and the celebration of the “Peruvian Chillies” event in the city of The Hague next 20th of September, which is directed to specialists in the Dutch gastronomic sector.
At the end of the event the Embassy of Peru was pleased to offer to the large audience an Honor Pisco, as well as a tasting of Peruvian gastronomic specialties.
