The Embassy of Peru in the Netherlands received the pleasant visit of a delegation of members, ages 6 and 14, of the symphony orchestra of the Newton College, who visited this country with their parents and teachers in order to carry out activities of cultural exchange with local music schools and institutions located in the city of The Hague.
At a reception organized at the Residence of Peru students delighted various entities and individuals associated with the music scene in this country with an assorted repertoire of Peruvian pieces.
Moreover, their agenda in the Netherlands included activities with the International School of The Hague, the American School of The Hague, as well as the Hofstad Youth Orchestra, and culminated in a huge concert in the auditorium of the American College opened by Ambassador of Peru in the Netherlands. On that occasion they played together with children, of Dutch and other nationalities, various classical and national pieces such as Fiesta Aymara, La Flor de la Canela, Carnaval de Arequipa, Alma, Corazon y Vida, and the Condor Pasa, the latter being executed by about a hundred children from the schools concerned.
Several local media highlighted this cooperation initiative between educational and musical institutions as an element that contributes to the continued development of relations between the two nations.
