Painting exposition “Los siete años peruanos y después” in support of children from Peru
Last 27th of May, the Embassy of Peru in the Netherlands organized a charity exhibition of works by Dutch artist Titus Bovenberg in support of various institutions working with children of Peru. This event was held in the Gallery Patries Van Dorst at the Castle Wittenburg in Wassenaar.
Mr. Bovenberg has developed a special relationship with Peru having lived for seven years in our country (1998-2005). In that period, aside from developing his art, he has carried on important social assistance work particularly with children of Cusco, having established two organizations: “Niños Unidos Peruanos”, which works with 600 children from this region, in order to provide assistance (food water, medicine, among other); and “Abrazos”, working with 150 children with autism.
The Mayor of Wassenaar attended the event, as well as members of the diplomatic corps, artists and representatives of the Peruvian community in the Netherlands, who were offered a Pisco of honor.
